It's life Jim, but not as we know it

‘It’s life Jim, but not as we know it’ – this phrase (made famous in ‘Star Trekkin’’ by The Firm – and never actually uttered by Mr Spock himself) seems an apt summary of my feelings today.

The world has changed – and not just temporarily. We are moving from an initial embrace of new ways of working (and socialising), to a more permanent shift in how we operate, communicate and lead at work and balance our lives around it.

As we all adjust to the new and challenging environment (both socially & professionally), I’m observing and experiencing how this crisis – while difficult and frustrating – is also bringing out the best in us. From an organisational and individual perspective, I believe that the relevance and impact of diverse & inclusive leadership, clear strategy & communication and a welcoming collaboration have never been so important and so needed.
